Glass Lab Containers
Glass lab containers hold liquids, solids and powders for sampling, testing, and storage. Glass is chemical and scratch resistant and won't absorb chemicals and odors. It can be sterilized between uses and withstands higher temperatures than plastic, making it a good choice for heating liquids. Bottles have lids to keep contents secure. Jars have lids to store and transport samples. Beakers hold liquids for mixing and testing. Vials hold and store liquid and powder samples and media and have lids to keep contents contained and prevent contamination. Centrifuge, culture, test, and specialty tubes hold samples when performing specific tests. Flasks have a narrow neck for grasping and to limit evaporation during heating. Jugs have a large capacity and handles to make pouring easy. Cuvettes hold samples in spectrophotometers and turbidity meters. Graduated cylinders have markings to indicate volume and make measuring easier. Burets dispense one drop of liquid at a time.
