Wire & Data Cable Crimpers
Wire and cable crimpers attach connectors, terminals, and contacts to wire and cable to make solderless connections that are mechanically stable and electrically sound to prevent signal loss. They are used when installing and repairing wire and cable. Wire connector and terminal crimpers press splice connectors, terminals, and disconnects onto wire. Wire ferrule crimpers seat ferrules (end sleeves) onto wire. Pin terminal crimpers attach contact pins to wire. Compression lug and connector crimpers squeeze compression lugs and splices to join them to wire in large-gauge applications. Insulation displacement contact (IDC) connector crimpers add IDC connectors to telecom and data cable. Data cable crimpers and compression tools install data and telephone connectors onto cable. Solar connector crimpers join pin and socket contacts to wire when installing solar panel systems.
