Wristlet retrieval lanyards slip over a worker's wrists to position the hands and arms above the head and move arms out of the way when rescuing workers from tight spaces. A ring attaches to a rescue line to keep the arms in position.

Retrieval lanyards connect to the D-rings on the shoulders of a fall harness to rescue fallen or incapacitated workers. Sometimes called yolks or Y-lanyards, they have a bar between the straps to keep the hook ends separated. A lifeline or winch connects to the D-ring to pull the worker to safety.
