Confined space entry and retrieval products assist workers in entry, exit, and rescue from confined spaces, such as tanks and tunnels. A confined space is a work location that has limited or restricted entry and exit points and where systems are temporary. Davit systems include components required to enter a space or to rescue a worker from a confined space. Tripod systems sit directly over a manhole or other vertical entry point to assist in raising and lowering workers. Pole hoist systems are used with vertical and horizontal entry points and allow an attendant to retrieve an incapacitated worker without the use of an overhead anchor point. Confined space lanyards connect to a worker's wrists or the shoulder D-rings on a fall harness to rescue an incapacitated or fallen worker. Confined space winches help raise and lower workers and retrieve incapacitated workers.
