Mounted Rolling-Element Bearings
Mounted rolling-element bearings have a housing or flange that mounts to a surface and allows the shaft to rotate smoothly while the base supports the load. Flange-mount rolling-element bearings have a plate that is bolted to a surface and supports a shaft running through the bearing perpendicular to the surface. Pillow block bearings have a mounted base that runs parallel to the shaft. Insert bearings replace worn or damaged bearings in an existing mounted bearing housing. Take-up unit bearings help maintain belt tension and ensure track alignment on conveyor systems. Bearing caps keep debris and contaminants from entering the bearing housing.
