Polypropylene cam and groove fittings consist of a grooved male nipple (adapter) and a female cam (coupler or camlock) that tighten together to form a seal. Polypropylene (also called PP) is a lightweight thermoplastic material that resists UV, weathering, corrosion, and ozone damage. Polypropylene camlock couplings are commonly used with treated water, corrosive solvents, and chemicals.

Glass-filled polypropylene cam arm locks fit around a coupler and hold cam arms in place to prevent tampering and avoid accidental uncoupling. Glass-filled polypropylene (also called PP) is a thermoplastic material that uses glass fibers for extra reinforcement. This combination adds stability and strength, to resist UV, weathering, and corrosion.
