Nylon cam and groove fittings consist of a grooved male nipple (adapter) and a female cam (coupler or camlock) that tighten together to form a seal. Nylon couplings resist corrosion and changes in humidity, withstand higher temperatures than polypropylene, and won't scratch delicate surfaces. Nylon camlock couplings are interchangeable with both metal and plastic couplings, and can be used with water, coolants, and fuels.
