Insulating Electrical Tape

Insulating electrical tape wraps around wire and cable to prevent shorts and electrical shock. This flexible tape can be slightly stretched and applied with pressure for a secure bond. Most applications use general purpose electrical insulating tape, while other applications require specific properties such as high-voltage resistance, abrasion resistance, corrosion protection, high-temperature resistance, moisture resistance, and arc proofing. Some tape varieties come in multiple colors for phasing and voltage identification.

Moisture-Resistant Electrical Tape, Pads & Putty
This moisture-resistant electrical tape, also referred to as mastic tape, has a thicker construction and stronger bond than general purpose electrical tape. It insulates and cushions sharp edges or irregular surfaces while sealing against moisture. It is rated for outdoor use where there is exposure to weather and UV light. This tape comes in continuous rolls, tape pads, or as a putty in tape form. The putty is self-fusing and useful in wrapping fittings and valves.
