What is Diversity Solutions?

Grainger’s Diversity Solutions supports the economic empowerment of diverse and small businesses. We help customers meet their diversity goals or requirements through a strategic combination of our breadth of products, supply chain, services and diversity expertise including our vetted network of diverse suppliers, resellers and service providers.

To help customers get the right diversity solutions and support, Grainger uses a structured approach to engage outside experts at various points throughout the diversity solutions process. These experts help ensure diversity goals or requirements are met, while making sure solutions are right-sized for customers.

In keeping with the company purpose, We Keep the World Working®, we approach our work with a sustainability mindset and a long-term view of critical environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues including diversity solutions. We help others fulfill that mission as well, especially our team members, customers, suppliers and communities.

Supplier Diversity

Grainger works with diverse Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) suppliers to buy products and sell them to the end customer. The customer can take diversity spend credit for those qualifying purchases. Over 6,500 DBEs are part of Grainger’s Supplier Diversity Program.

Diversity Alliances Program

Grainger contracts with small and diverse resellers to sell directly on the Grainger agreement with the end customer. Purchases from Authorized Grainger Resellers help customers achieve diversity procurement goals.

Grainger Federal Reseller Network

The Grainger Federal Reseller Network includes Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) who maintain relationships or contracts with the federal government and various departments, and leverage Grainger's products, logistics and supply chain. Purchases from these resellers help federal government customers achieve their socioeconomic procurement goals.

Sustainability Solutions

Grainger provides customers with the products they need to help keep their businesses running. We work to help create a more sustainable workplace for our customers and our communities through our Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) portfolio, sustainability offerings and related services.
