Corded miter saws make straight and angled cuts on materials such as wood and plastic. Compound miter saws cut two angles simultaneously, both across the width and through the depth of the material. Corded saws are used on worksites where there is access to a 120VAC power source. They have longer run times and are generally more powerful than cordless saws. Saws that have a larger diameter blade cut wider and thicker stock in one pass than saws with a smaller blade.
