Order LookupWire Rope Swaging Tools
Available6 products
Hand-operated wire rope swaging tools compress swage sleeves and ferrules onto wire rope to create loops (eyes), join two lengths of rope, or form end stops. Also known as cable swaging tools, their jaws have multiple grooves or dies that fit different sleeve sizes and make a series of crimps in the sleeves to permanently join them to the wire rope. They create assemblies for rigging, lashing, pulling, and other material handling applications.

Scissors-Style Cable Swaging Tools
The long handles of scissors-style cable swaging tools provide leverage to generate force at the jaws and compress them around swage sleeves and stops. Also known as hand swagers, they center leverage over the jaws, producing snap action for crisp compressions onto wire rope.

Clamp-Style Cable Swaging Tools
Tightening the bolts of clamp-style cable swaging tools closes their die slots around swage sleeves and presses the sleeves onto wire rope. These tools install sleeves but not end stops. They are commonly used when installing or repairing cables on garage and overhead doors.

Bench-Mount Cable Swaging Tools
Bench-mount cable swaging tools produce more leverage to swage with less effort than clamp-and scissors-style tools. They center leverage over the jaws, producing snap action for crisp compressions of sleeves and stops. These tools mount to a workbench, tabletop, or other flat surface and provide a work station where wire rope swaging is part of everyday operations.
