Nut Drivers

Available74 products
Nut drivers look similar to a screwdriver, but have a socket attached to a shaft with an attached handle to turn the tool for tightening or loosening nuts and bolts in low-torque applications. These manual tools have sockets that fit around and grip around the entire head of the fastener for a secure fit. They provide more contact to the fastener head than an open-end wrench so the socket is less likely to slip off the fastener when the nut driver is turned. Nut drivers generally have a hollow shaft that allows a threaded bolt to pass through so the tool can turn fasteners on long threaded bolts. They are used for low torque use such as appliance repair and electronics applications.

Hollow Shank Nut Drivers

Hollow Shank Nut Drivers
Hollow shank nut drivers allow for tightening or loosening of fasteners from either the bolt or nut end due to more clearance inside the driver. The hollow shank fits over longer bolts and studs than other nut drivers.

Solid Shank Nut Drivers

Solid Shank Nut Drivers
These solid shank nut drivers are used to tighten and loosen nuts and bolts and do not have a hollow shank that can fit over long bolts and studs. Insulated Nut Drivers

Insulated Nut Drivers
Insulated nut drivers help prevent electrical shock from live electrical circuits so they're commonly used on or near electrical components. The insulated handle allows for a more secure grip when tightening or loosening nuts and bolts when compared to a noninsulated handle.

Tether-Ready Nut Drivers

Tether-Ready Nut Drivers
Tether-ready nut drivers have a loop or hole that allows the attachment of a tether where the tether is attached to the user or a fixed object to prevent the tool from falling and causing injuries or damage when working at height.

Ratcheting Nut Drivers

Ratcheting Nut Drivers
Ratcheting nut drivers have a mechanism that allows the nut driver to rotate freely in one direction without having to remove the nut driver head from the fastener and reposition the tool. They can turn nuts and bolts more quickly than a standard nut driver and are reversing so they can both tighten and loosen nuts and bolts.
