Pin Loosening & Removing Punches

Available2 products
Pin loosening and removing punches dislodge and pull out pins, rivets, bushings, and other parts. They are typically struck on their shank to provide ample force to loosen and remove the pins. Loosening pins before removal reduces the risk of damage to surrounding surfaces and prevents mushrooming and bending of the punch.

Flat-Tip Pin Removing Punches

Flat-Tip Pin Removing Punches
The flat tip of these pin removing punches makes a uniform strike to install new, solid pins and remove old ones. Also known as drive-pin punches, they distribute the striking force across the pin head to knock out frozen or damaged pins and rivets.

Non-Sparking Pin Loosening Punches

Non-Sparking Pin Loosening Punches
Non-sparking pin loosening punches contain no ferrous metals, so they resist creating sparks. This reduces the risk of ignition when loosening pins in environments where combustible dust or flammable liquids, gas, or vapors are present. Pin loosening punches unseat pins so they can be taken out with a pin removing punch. Also known as starter punches, their tapered tip provides fine control for positioning the punch to loosen pins and reduces bending of the punch and damage to surrounding surfaces.
