Order LookupCentering & Marking Punches
Available1 product
Centering and marking punches make an indentation that marks the spot to drill a hole in a workpiece. This starting point guides drill bits to improve the quality of drilled holes and prevent bits from drifting and marring surfaces. Centering and marking punches are commonly used in metalworking, crafting, and other tasks that require accurate holes.

Transfer Punch Sets
These sets include multiple transfer punches in different tip sizes to match different-sized holes. Transfer punches allow copying of hole sizes from a part or template onto workpiece. Their body diameter is selected to match the diameter of the intended hole, and they are tapped lightly to mark the hole center with their pointed tip. They are followed up with a center punch to deepen the indentation before drilling. Transfer punches complete tasks such as seating tool knobs on machinery, mounting tools to worktables, and creating jigs.
