Order LookupFlange & Set-Up Wedges
Available20 products
Flange and set-up wedges fit under or between objects and materials to separate, lift, or level them. They support and position equipment and components during maintenance and installation.
Wedge Type
Non-Sparking Banana Wedges
Non-sparking banana wedges contain no ferrous metals, so they resist creating sparks. This reduces the risk of ignition when using wedges in environments where combustible dust or flammable liquids, gas, or vapors are present. The curved body of banana wedges conforms with the curve of pipe or rounded fittings to provide ample support when separating flanges. Also known as flange wedges, they create a gap between flanges when adding, removing, or replacing gaskets. Pipefitters and maintenance workers typically use a pair of banana wedges to drive one wedge onto the other and create more lift than a single wedge.

Non-Sparking Set-Up Wedges
Non-sparking set-up wedges contain no ferrous metals, so they resist creating sparks. This reduces the risk of ignition when setting up parts in environments where combustible dust or flammable liquids, gas, or vapors are present. Set-up wedges position or add space between parts and materials. They spread apart pipe flanges and other mated parts to slide in a gasket, set up workpieces on planers and milling machines, level machinery, and act as a fulcrum for pry bars. These wedges can stack to create the necessary height or separation.
