Order LookupRetaining-Ring Pliers & Sets
Available1 product
Retaining-ring pliers install and remove snap rings that fit into a bore or onto a shaft and hold components in place. Also known as circlip pliers, their tips provide a firm grip on the rings to prevent them from flying off. Each pair of pliers adjusts its jaws to accommodate rings within a set diameter range. Retaining-ring pliers are commonly used to place rings on actuators, gear assemblies, motor shafts, and other machinery.
For Bore Diameter Range
Non-Sparking Internal Retaining-Ring Pliers
These non-sparking retaining-ring pliers apply internal rings into bores in work areas where combustible dust or flammable liquids, gas, or vapors are present. They contain no ferrous metals, so they resist creating sparks and reduce the risk of ignition in hazardous locations. Also known as inner snap ring pliers, they provide greater strength for more squeezing force than convertible pliers. Their tips slide into matching grip holes in a ring's lugs (ears) for a secure hold when squeezing together the ends of the ring.
