Order LookupGeneral Purpose Diagonal-Cutting Pliers
Available4 products
General purpose diagonal-cutting pliers trim wire and zip ties, shear through thin screws and nails, and nip and strip wire jackets in applications where insulated or non-sparking pliers aren't required. Also known as wire cutters, their blade-like cutting edges are offset from the handles to cut closely against surfaces. They concentrate leverage in their short jaws to maximize cutting force.

Standard-Cut Diagonal-Cutting Pliers
Standard-cut pliers leave a pointed, pinched edge on materials. They make rougher cuts but typically stay sharper to make more cuts than flush- and semiflush-cut pliers.

Flush-Cut Diagonal-Cutting Pliers
The blades on flush-cut pliers are extra sharp to leave a flat, smooth edge on materials. They are commonly used to prepare materials for soldering. Flush-cut pliers make the finest cuts but tend to dull more quickly than standard- or semiflush-cut pliers.
