Tube flaring and swaging tools widen the ends of tubing to make connections in plumbing, HVAC, and automotive applications. They apply pressure to reshape copper and other soft metal tubing while maintaining its strength since there's no loss of material. Flaring and swaging tools are commonly used on air, brake, and water lines.

Hammer-Driven Tube Flaring Tools
Hammer-driven flaring tools are struck on their shank to form flares more quickly but less precisely than hand-turn tools. These punch-style tools center their nose in tubing to create a 45° flare with uniform edges and a set height. Flaring tools create a funnel-shaped end (flare) that forms a tight joint with a flared tube fitting, eliminating the need for brazing or soldering. They are commonly used to connect refrigerant tubing in mini-split systems.
