Claw & Framing Hammers

Available3 products
Claw and framing hammers use their flat face to strike and their claw end to pry. Sometimes called nail hammers, they are commonly used to install nails, persuade boards into place, remove nails, and perform light demolition. The longer their handle and the heavier their head, the stronger their blow but the less accurate their strike.

Non-Magnetic Aluminum-Bronze Curved-Claw Hammers

Non-Magnetic Aluminum-Bronze Curved-Claw Hammers

Aluminum-bronze hammers are non-magnetic for use in rooms with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines where steel and other magnetic hammers would be hazardous. They won't be drawn to the MRI machines' magnets, which can turn magnetic tools into projectiles that could cause injuries and damage. These non-sparking hammers contain no ferrous metals, so they resist creating sparks. This reduces the risk of ignition when hammering in environments where combustible dust or flammable liquids, gas, or vapors are present. The curved claw of these hammers hooks under nail heads to maximize leverage when removing nails while minimizing damage to surrounding surfaces.
