Ball-Peen & Cross-Peen Hammers

Ball- and cross-peen hammers provide a dual-purpose head with a flat, striking face at one end and a peened, shaping face at the other end. The flat face flattens sheet metal, sets rivets, and drives punches and chisels. The peened face bends, shapes, and stretches metal surfaces. Peening hammers are commonly used in metalworking.

Non-Sparking Cross-Peen Hammers
Non-sparking cross-peen hammers contain no ferrous metals, so they resist creating sparks. This reduces the risk of ignition when hammering in environments where combustible dust or flammable liquids, gas, or vapors are present. Their peened face is wedge shaped to strike more accurately than a ball peen and to protect fingers from the blow. They are commonly used to set pins or tacks in corners and tight spaces.
