Square files abrade materials in square or rectangular slots, grooves, and keyways. They enlarge slots and recesses, turn round holes into square holes, smooth and shape the inside of corners, and score material to bend it to a 90° angle.
Double-Cut Square Files
Double-cut teeth on the faces of these square files make aggressive cuts. Each face has two crisscrossing sets of diagonal rows of teeth that slant in opposite directions to remove material more quickly and leave a rougher finish than single-cut teeth.
