Rectangular Files
Rectangular files abrade material from level surfaces and linear edges. Also known as flat files, their two flat faces offer a wide area of contact to debur, shape, and smooth workpieces.
Tapered Chip-Breaking Rectangular Files
Short, angular teeth cover both faces of these tapered, rectangular files with serrated cutting edges that rapidly remove material, leave a smooth finish, and clear chips to prevent clogging. Also known as chip breaker files, they taper in width toward the point for filing slots.
