Wire connector and terminal crimpers press splice connectors, terminals, and disconnects onto wire. They crimp smaller connectors and terminals than lug and splice crimpers. Slots or dies in the crimper jaws are shaped to cradle the connectors and terminals and press them onto the wire for a tight bond.

The controlled-cycle mechanism of these wire connector and terminal crimpers ratchets the jaws, crimping to a preset depth and applying pressure evenly for repeatable results without overcrimping. Also known as full-cycle crimpers, they release the jaws after each crimping cycle. They form stronger, more uniform crimps than crimping pliers.
