Locking Clamps

Locking clamps operate like locking pliers, using their handle to close and lock the jaws onto objects or materials. Their adjustment screw fine tunes the clamping pressure, and their release mechanism unlocks the jaws. Also known as locking plier clamps, they provide a temporary hold for a range of workholding tasks in automotive work, pipe fitting, metal fabrication, and woodworking.

Locking C-Clamps
Locking C-clamps open wide to hold work within their C-shaped frame, which provides space for workpieces of various shapes and sizes. Also known as face clamps, they keep their clamping pads aligned on each side of the workpiece to apply uniform pressure. They grip tapered or thin materials, join edges to ends in face frames, and reach around rolled edges, I-beam lips, angle iron bends, and other barriers.

Locking Sheet Metal Clamps
Flat, wide jaw plates on locking sheet metal clamps create a firm grip to pull, bend, form, and crimp sheet metal. They also stretch upholstery webbing across furniture framing and grab other flat materials that are difficult to hold by hand.

Locking Welding Clamps
Locking welding clamps provide a claw-like grip to hold flat, round, angled, or oddly-shaped workpieces. They grip material between the bent tips of their top jaw and the flat tips of their bottom jaw. A U-slot in the center of the jaws maintains visibility of joints to allow accurate positioning during welding.

Locking Chain Clamps
Locking chain clamps wrap a length of chain around multiple workpieces or oversized, odd-shaped, and curved objects that would slip through the grip of typical clamp jaws. The chain reaches through tight gaps and into narrow spaces along walls or between runs of pipe. Also known as locking chain pliers, they are commonly used to grip pipe, turn fittings, and remove oil filters.

Sliding-arm locking clamps combine the squeeze-lock action of a locking clamp and the wide capacity of a bar clamp. Their top jaw slides along the bar to adjust to the size of the work.

Locking Panel Clamps
Locking panel clamps hold and align two auto body panels or thin sheets in a side-by-side position for welding or joining. Their bottom jaw slides forward toward the upper jaws to grip panels tightly between the dual, bent jaw tips. A U-slot in the center of the jaws maintains visibility of the joint to allow accurate positioning. Panel clamps are commonly used to pinch welds on door panels.
