Cleanroom hoods are ISO rated and cover the head, neck, and shoulders to prevent hair and skin cells from contaminating the environment. Hoods are loose-fitting to allow masks, eyewear, and other equipment to be worn at the same time. They cover the shoulders and chest so they can be tucked into a coverall. Cleanroom garments are assigned a cleanroom class to indicate which cleanrooms they can be used in. Lower classes (ISO 1) indicate a cleaner garment than higher classes (ISO 9).
