Hard hat covers are placed over a hard hat to add high visibility or heat resistance to front-brim hard hats without the need to purchase additional specialized hard hats. High-visibility (sometimes called Hi Vis) covers have reflective strips to make workers more visible. Heat-resistant hard hat covers are used in metalworking and other high-heat applications to protect the front of the hard hat from deformation.
