ANSI/ISEA Heat Level

ANSI heat level indicates the maximum temperature that gloves can be used at when handling hot objects before the worker will begin to feel a burn. Heat level and burn time is affected by temperature, object weight, and length of time the object is held. Higher numbers protect against higher temperatures.

2 is for use at lower temperatures up to 284°F and incidental contact with hot surfaces.
3 is for use at moderate temperatures up to 392°F and incidental contact with hot surfaces.
4 is for use at high temperatures up to 500°F and contact with hot surfaces.
5 is for use at high temperatures up to 608°F and contact with hot surfaces.

Coating Coverage

Palm covers the palm side of the hand and fingers and leaves the back uncoated for breathability.
Full protects both sides of the hand to the wrist from liquid and abrasion and is the least breathable.
Uncoated is more breathable than coated gloves. It does not protect against liquids and has limited resistance to abrasion.
Palm and Fingertips covers the palm and front and back of the fingertips for improved breathability and dexterity over gloves with more coating coverage.

Coating Type

Dotted has a raised surface while leaving part of the glove uncovered for better breathability than dipped coatings.
Dipped has continous coating over the covered portion of the glove to protect against liquid. Dipped gloves also have improved abrasion resistance.
Double Dipped is coated twice to make it more durable but are less tactile and dexterous than single-dipped gloves.
Uncoated is more breathable than coated gloves. It does not protect against liquids and has limited resistance to abrasion.

Slip-On pulls on over the hand without additional closures at the wrist.
Safety extends about 2" beyond the wrist for added coverage with a side slit for quick removal in an emergency, and fits loosely for ventilation
Knit absorbs perspiration and has a snug yet comfortable fit at the wrist to help keep out dirt and debris
Gauntlet extends about 4" beyond the wrist for added coverage with a loose fit that makes it easier to pull on and off and leaves room for ventilation or for tucking in sleeves
Straight is more open at the wrist than knit and elastic cuff styles.
Extended Gauntlet extends further beyond the wrist than standard gauntlet for added coverage. A loose fit that makes it easier to pull on and off and leaves room for ventilation or for tucking in sleeves.

Glove Features

Double Palm improves abrasion resistance for extended life.
Silicone-Free prevents silicone contamination during manufacturing, reduces fingerprints, and prevents defects when handling painted and coated surfaces.
Touchscreen Compatible allows workers to use a touchscreen device without removing the glove.
