Arc Flash & Flame-Resistant Gloves

Available30 products

Arc flash and flame-resistant gloves are worn when performing maintenance work, de-energizing electrical panels, and when working on hot engines and machinery. Arc flash gloves are flame-resistant, but not all flame-resistant gloves are arc flash-rated. PPE category (CAT)-rated gloves (sometimes called hazard risk category (HRC)) are flame-resistant and meet NFPA 70E standards to protect workers from arc flash burns. They must be worn with other CAT-rated clothing to provide complete protection. Knit gloves are breathable and formfitting and have a knit cuff to keep the glove in place and keep out dirt and other contaminants. Mechanics-style gloves have good dexterity and are often worn when performing basic tasks in general maintenance and repair operations. Leather gloves resist wear and provide a balance of abrasion resistance and dexterity and are used in forestry, landscaping, and general construction.
