Order LookupMechanics-Style Arc Flash & Flame-Resistant Gloves
Available20 products
Mechanics-style arc flash and flame-resistant gloves are used when performing electrical work such as when de-energizing electrical panels, working on automotive electrical systems, and working on machinery found in oil and gas facilities. Mechanics-style gloves have good dexterity and protect hands from dirt, grime, scrapes, and blisters. Flame-resistant gloves are self-extinguishing but are not arc flash-rated. PPE category (CAT)-rated gloves (sometimes called hazard risk category (HRC)) are flame-resistant and meet NFPA 70E standards to protect workers from arc flash burns. They must be worn with other CAT-rated clothing to provide complete protection.
Category 2 Mechanics Gloves

Flash Fire & Cut-Resistant Mechanics Gloves
Cut-resistant flash fire mechanics gloves meet NFPA 2112 standards for flash fire. They are not arc-flash rated. Flash fires occur in chemical/petrochemical processing, storage and transfer of chemicals, oil and gas drilling, or anywhere there's a risk that an intense flame can be fueled by dust, gas, or vapors of an ignitable liquid. Cut-resistant gloves protect against lacerations and some punctures caused by handling sharp items, such as metal and glass.
