Order LookupConductive & Static-Dissipative Mats
Conductive and static-dissipative mats protect electrical equipment from damage caused by static. Sometimes called ESD mats, they draw static electricity off workers before the worker touches a surface that can cause discharge. They are used near sensitive electrical or computer components and in areas with potentially explosive dusts, gasses, or chemicals.
Conductive Mats
Conductive mats move electrical charge across materials very quickly. They are antistatic and have a low surface resistivity less than or equal to 1 x 10^9 Ω/sq.

Static-Dissipative Mats
Static dissipative mats move electrical charges to ground at a controlled rate. They are antistatic and have medium surface resistivity equal to or greater than 1 x 10^6 Ω/sq but less than 1 x 10^9 Ω/sq.
