Order LookupSelf-Retracting Lifelines
Available6 products
Self-retracting lifelines, or SRLs, connect a worker's full-body safety harness to an anchor point to arrest falls. They allow the worker to move freely by extending and retracting with the worker as they move. If the worker starts to fall, the SRL will brake to stop the fall and absorb the energy, typically within 2 to 4 ft. from the start of the fall. They require less clearance and allow the worker to move farther away from the anchor point than would be possible with a shock-absorbing lanyard. They are commonly used by people working at heights in the construction, manufacturing, welding, utilities, transportation, and oil and gas industries.

Cab-Mounted Connection-Sensing Mounted SRL Systems
Connection-sensing cab-mounted SRLs sound an alarm and flash lights when they are disconnected from a harness. They are often used on pickers to ensure that workers stay connected to the SRL when working. The alarm sounds when it comes in close proximity to a harness that has a compatible RFID tag, and stops sounding when the worker attaches the SRL to the harness. Mounted SRLs are typically longer than personal SRLs, which allows workers to move farther away from the anchor point. They also tend to be heavier than personal SRLs and are generally left mounted in place on the anchor point.
