Tool Tethers

Tool tethers (sometimes called tool lanyards) connect tools to anchor points to prevent dropped tools from injuring workers below. A connection point on each end of the tether connects a tool to an anchor point. Tool tethers are load-rated to ensure the tool can be fully supported if dropped.

Standard Tethers for Hard Hats
Standard hard hat tethers prevent a hard hat from becoming a dropped-object hazard if it falls. One end of the tether loops through a slot in the hard hat or around the hard hat suspension and the other end clips to the worker's clothing or fall harness.
