Shock-Absorbing Lanyards

Available1 product
Shock-absorbing lanyards extend in length to absorb energy and dampen the jolt to the body when a fall is arrested, helping to reduce the risk of fall injuries. They are typically lighter than self-retracting lifelines (SRLs). The lanyard attaches a worker's safety harness to an anchor point on a building or structure to stop the worker from free-falling while working at height. Users must make sure there is enough distance between the anchor point and the surface below them for the lanyard to fully expand during a fall, so shock-absorbing lanyards are best suited for applications where there is a long fall clearance. They are commonly used in the construction, manufacturing, and utilities industries.

Leading-Edge Shock-Absorbing Lanyards

Leading-Edge Shock-Absorbing Lanyards
Leading-edge shock-absorbing lanyards resist fraying, friction damage, and breaking when used over a sharp leading edge, such as a rooftop. They can be tied off overhead, at shoulder level, or at foot level, and they help reduce the risk of fall injuries by dampening the jolt at the bottom of a fall.
