Positioning and restraint lanyards restrict how far a worker can travel to prevent the worker from coming too close to a fall hazard, such as an edge. Positioning and restraint lanyards are often used with other fall arrest equipment as part of a full fall arrest system.
Positioning & Restraint Lanyards
Positioning and restraint lanyards attach to D-rings connected to the hips of a worker's safety harness or body belt. They ensure workers remain properly positioned, allow them to use both hands for extended periods, and restrict how far they can travel to minimize the chance of coming too close to an edge and a potential fall hazard.
