Safety Harnesses for Positioning & Climbing

Available16 products
Safety harnesses for positioning and climbing have one D-ring on the upper back, two or more D-rings on the hip straps, and one D-ring on the chest. The hip D-rings connect to positioning and restraint lanyards that help keep the wearer positioned correctly while working at heights, leaving hands free and reducing the energy it takes to stay in place. The chest D-ring allows the harness to be used with a ladder-climbing system to provide fall protection if the wearer slips while climbing or descending a ladder or tall structure. The back (dorsal) D-ring connects to a self-retracting lifeline or shock-absorbing lanyard that attaches to a secure anchor point. Safety harnesses for positioning and climbing are often used in wind energy, construction, mining, and utility applications.

Vest-Style Harnesses for Positioning & Climbing with Belt & Seat Sling

Vest-Style Harnesses for Positioning & Climbing with Belt & Seat Sling
Vest-style safety harnesses for positioning and climbing with a belt and seat sling have two vertical shoulder straps that have webbing and a buckle to connect across the chest for a secure fit. Vest-style harnesses are easier to put on and take off than crossover harnesses. Integrated hip D-rings and body belt connect to positioning and restraint lanyards that help keep the wearer positioned correctly near the work. Seat slings keep suspended workers comfortable by relieving pressure on their legs and hips and by taking some of the weight of the workers’ equipment off their body. They allow workers to sit and work while suspended or lowered in a safety harness and support suspended workers who are working in place while connected to positioning lanyards.
