IP20 protects against contact with fingers or similar objects greater than 12.5mm. It does not protect against liquids.
IP65 is dust-tight and protects against water jets from any direction.
IP67 is dust-tight and withstands immersion in water for up to 30 minutes to a depth of 1m.
NEMA 1 protects against incidental contact and against the entry of solid objects such as falling dirt.
NEMA 3R is an enclosure rating, often referred to as "rain-tight" or "rain-proof", that specifies a degree of protection against incidental contact, against the entry of solid objects (falling dirt) or water (rain, snow), and against exterior ice formation.
NEMA 4X protects against incidental contact, against the entry of solid objects (falling dirt, windblown dust) or water (rain, snow, splashes, and sprays), against corrosion (humidity, vapor, immersion), and against occasional washdowns and exterior ice formation.
Not Rated refers to electrical enclosures that have not been tested for protection against dust and water.
