Guided Wave Radar Liquid Level Sensors

Guided wave radar liquid level sensors use electromagnetic signals to measure and monitor levels within containers. The sensor head generates a wave that travels down a tube-encased probe immersed in the liquid. As the electromagnetic pulse reaches the surface of the media and the bottom of the probe, a reflective pulse travels up to the probe head and provides a level and measurement reading. These sensors are used for small storage containers such as intermediate bulk containers (IBC) and waste sumps.

IFM Efector LR Series sensor heads pair with compatible probes and tubes to create a complete, guided-wave, level sensor unit. Sensor heads generate electromagnetic waves that travel down tube-encased probes to measure and monitor liquid levels in containers and tanks.
