Acetal is a durable plastic that resists abrasion better than most metals. Acetal is highly resistant to solvents and prevents static discharge from occurring during operation; however, these pumps should not be used in applications transferring bases or acids.
Aluminum is lightweight and mildly resistant to chemicals.
Buna-N is suited for handling petroleum liquids such as crude oil and natural gas, some solvents, and mildly corrosive chemicals.
Polypropylene is a lightweight plastic that is compatible with a wide range of chemicals and can be easily transported in applications that require the pump to be relocated often.
PVDF is durable, withstands high temperatures, and is highly resistant to chemicals and abrasives.
Santoprene is moderately resistant to chemicals, abrasives, and heat.
