Spring-Energized Seals
Available26 products
Spring-energized seals, also known as spring-loaded seals, provide sealing for shafts, rods, and pistons to retain lubricants and minimize the entry of dirt, oil, and moisture. They are made of a chemical-resistant, high-temperature polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). An internal spring ensures the seal maintains its shape and holds firmly in place. They can be used in place of rotary shaft seals, rod seals, and piston seals.
Plain PTFE Spring-Energized Seals
These plain PTFE spring-energized seals are low-friction and are used in applications where speeds and/or cycles are minimal. PTFE is chemical resistant and is supported with an internal spring to help ensure the seal maintains its shape and is held firmly in place.

Graphite-Filled PTFE Spring-Energized Seals
These PTFE spring-energized seals are filled with a graphite material that provides compression strength and acts as a dry lubricant. They are used in heavy-load applications where a lubricant can't be added. PTFE is chemical resistant and is supported with an internal spring to help ensure the seal maintains its shape and is held firmly in place. They are commonly used in liquid and steam applications.
