Air-Powered Random Orbital Disc Sanders

Air-powered random orbital disc sanders spin a round sanding pad and whirl it in an orbital motion to minimize swirl marks and cross-grain scratches. Also known as dual action (DA) sanders, they are commonly used on large, flat surfaces and require only light pressure since the eccentric motion of the pad does most of the work. They perform a range of sanding tasks, from paint stripping to finishing—depending on their orbit diameter, the grit of the sanding disc, and the density of the backing pad. These pneumatic orbital disc sanders operate on compressed air and contain few moving parts, so they are lightweight to ease handling, run cool for a long lifespan, and require minimal maintenance.
