Order LookupAir-Powered Screwdrivers
Available1 product
Air-powered screwdrivers have adjustable torque so they can be set to drive screws at a specific force. They are commonly used in delicate production setups that call for low-torque fastening, such as attaching printed circuit boards and other electronics components. Power screwdrivers allow screws to be installed and removed with greater speed than manual screwdrivers and greater precision than drills. They have a chuck that holds interchangeable screwdriver bits and a motor that rotates the bits to turn screws without overdriving them, snapping them, or stripping the screw head. These pneumatic screwdrivers operate on a compressed air supply to rotate the bits. Air-powered tools are typically lighter than corded or cordless tools, helping to reduce operator fatigue when used for long periods of time. They have fewer moving parts, so they tend to run cooler and have a longer lifespan than corded and cordless tools.

Inline Air-Powered Screwdrivers
Inline air-powered screwdrivers align the bit-holding chuck with the tool body to allow fastening in recesses and tight spaces. They also keep the user's forearm in line with the bit to minimize fatigue and allow maximum pressure and control when driving screws into vertical and horizontal surfaces at waist level. They have a lever switch that is pressed with multiple fingers (rather than with a single finger like a trigger throttle) to reduce hand fatigue during extended use.
