Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps
Liquid ring vacuum pumps can handle small amounts of liquid and soft solids. The pump mechanism uses liquid as the operating medium in a cylinder with a rotating impeller. The rotating liquid creates a centrifugal force, or liquid ring, which creates the vacuum. These pumps are used in applications that involve liquid such as dewatering pulp slurry and forming molded, paper-pulp products.
