Basket strainers are high-capacity strainers designed to remove large particulates and debris from water and process fluids. These strainers protect pumps, internal parts, or systems from potential damage due to dirt and other particles carried by process fluids in water management, food processing, and industrial processing (machining, metalworking). Basket strainers are available in a variety of sizes and materials.

Housing Material

These basket strainers are made from acetal plastic, also called polyacetal and polyoxymethylene (POM), a general purpose thermoplastic that resists corrosive and sensitive media, plus withstands changes in temperature and humidity. Eastar, a tradename for acetal plastic, is a clear material that allows easy monitoring of debris collected on screen without disconnecting the pipeline. Eastar basket strainers remove large particulates and debris from water, process liquids, and pipelines in high-flow industrial processes.
