Basket strainers are high-capacity strainers designed to remove large particulates and debris from water and process fluids. These strainers protect pumps, internal parts, or systems from potential damage due to dirt and other particles carried by process fluids in water management, food processing, and industrial processing (machining, metalworking). Basket strainers are available in a variety of sizes and materials.
Housing Material
CPVC Basket Strainers
Nontoxic chlorinated polyvinyl chloride or CPVC basket strainers are made from a rigid thermoplastic resistant to most acids, bases, halogens, oxidants, salts, and temperatures up to 200°F. These CPVC basket strainers remove large particulates and debris from water and pipelines in hot and cold potable water applications.
