Melt-blown filters use porous outer layers to catch larger sediment particles and finer inner layers to trap smaller contaminants. These cylindrical cartridges contain fibers that are melt blown over rotating spindles creating density layers that remove suspended solids from water and prevent equipment damage due to sediment buildup and clogging. Melt-blown filter cartridges fit compatible housings. These cartridges are suitable for food and beverage handling, reverse osmosis system prefiltration, and finish machining.

Pleated, or surface, are thin filters that catch and hold sediment particles to prevent them from entering fluid stream. These large, pleated surface areas are typically used until the outer surface is completely covered with particles and then discarded. Pleated filter cartridges are available in a range of sizes and micron (µ) ratings and fit compatible filter housings. They filter liquids for chemical handling, recirculation, and general water filtration.
