Throttling Valves

Throttling valves start, stop, and regulate media flow rate within a system. Butterfly valves are compact, lightweight, and have a slim disc profile that induces minimal media flow resistance resulting in low-pressure drops and ensuring efficient flow. Globe valves provide a tighter seal and greater control over regulating media flow than other throttling valves. Needle valves use a plunger to throttle media flow. V-port ball valves, also known as proportional control ball valves, use a cylindrical bearing with a V-shaped hole to control liquid flow. Balancing valves ensure HVAC system components are properly supplied with fluids and prevent inefficiencies which can lead to higher energy consumption. Fire hydrant and hose rack valves install onto the output end of a fire hose or hydrant. Flow-regulating valves maintain a predetermined flow rate on the outlet side even as pressure spikes occur on the inlet side.
