Vacuum Breakers
Available148 products
Vacuum breakers are used in high-hazard applications where backsiphoning could result in harmful health hazards contaminating the water supply. They have an air inlet that allows air into the system, breaks the vacuum, and prevents backward siphoning into potable water supplies.
Pressure Vacuum Breakers
Pressure vacuum breakers prevent backsiphoning of contaminated water in continuous pressure applications such as irrigation systems and industrial process water systems. They consist of a check valve, vacuum relief valve, and at least one test cock for easy testing and winterization.

Atmospheric Vacuum Breakers
Atmospheric vacuum breakers (AVBs) prevent backsiphoning of contaminated water into potable water supplies if a pressure loss creates vacuum conditions. Also called anti-siphon vacuum breakers, they have an atmospheric vent that allows air to enter the valve and prevents a siphon from forming during periods of low or no demand. A seal is engaged to close the vent when water is flowing. They are not for use in continuous pressure applications.

Atmospheric Vacuum Breakers for Steam Service
Atmospheric vacuum breakers are for high-temperature steam applications such as heat exchangers, heating coils, condensate lines, and steam boilers. They operate on the atmospheric vent principle that allows air in to open the valve and break the vacuum to prevent outside water from siphoning back into the system.

Combination Thermostatic Air-Vents & Vacuum Breakers
Combination thermostatic air vents with integral vacuum breakers release air from steam-filled vessels such as shell-and-tube heat exchangers, jacketed kettles, and steam coils to break the vacuum that forms as they operate. They install at the highest point on a steam chamber and vent air without a drain line.

Self-Closing Vacuum Breakers for Tanks & Piping Systems
Self-closing vacuum breakers eliminate siphoning and protect enclosed tanks from damage during draining. They have normally-closed, self-sealing diaphragms which provide a dependable, tight seal.

Freeze-Relief Valves for Vacuum Breakers & Backflow Preventers
Freeze-relief valves install on backflow preventers and vacuum breakers to prevent damage to plumbing systems from sudden or unexpected freezes. They are ideal for geographical areas where systems are not typically winterized, but uncommon freezing temperatures may occur.
