Insert x Threaded Pipe Fittings
Insert x threaded fittings are barbed or inserted on one end with threading on the other end. The insert end fits inside flexible polyethylene tubing and secures with a worm drive clamp. Female threads are on the inside of a fitting. Male threads are on the outside of a fitting and screw into the female threads. Threaded connections use PTFE tape to secure seal.

Insert x socket fittings are barbed or inserted on one end with a socket on the other end. The insert end fits inside flexible polyethylene tubing and secures with a worm drive clamp. The socket end, also called a hub or slip end, fits over the end of a pipe and requires glue or adhesive to seal connection.

Insert x Spigot Pipe Fittings
Insert x spigot fittings are barbed or inserted on one end with a spigot on the other end. The insert end fits inside flexible polyethylene tubing and secures with a worm drive clamp. The spigot end, also called street end, is needed when a fitting connects to another fitting (not directly to a pipe). The spigot end requires glue or adhesive to seal connection.
