Also known as chemical transfer hose assemblies, they are used to move chemicals from one location to another and are made from materials that resist damage when exposed to specific kinds of chemicals. These polypropylene/polyester chemical hose assemblies are used for transferring and unloading chemicals in plants, tank trucks, and railcars. They are suitable for suction and discharge applications and are rated for full vacuum. The hoses have a polypropylene/polyester tube and a polypropylene cover that provide good chemical resistance to a wide variety of acids and bases. The addition of polyester to the tube material increases the wear resistance and flexibility of the hose compared to hoses that are made from polypropylene alone.
