Polyurethane-lined food hoses typically have a longer life than standard rubber or PVC food hoses. These hoses have a convoluted cover that provides excellent flexibility and allows the hose to bend and then return to its original shape. They also have a static discharge wire embedded in the hose's helix, which dissipates static charge on the hose to help prevent sparks that can ignite dry materials inside the hose. These lightweight hoses have transparent walls that allow users to see materials flowing through the hose. They are used in food-manufacturing, pharmaceutical-manufacturing, plastics-processing, and pneumatic-conveying applications.
